Taylor Stocks
Taylor Stocks is a genderfluid trans activist living in St. John’s. Stocks is chair of the St. John’s Inclusion Advisory Committee, a member of Memorial University’s Employment Equity and Diversity Advisory Committee, a director of the Trans Needs Committee, and former co-chair of St. John’s Pride. In addition to their activism, they also explore and challenge gender through entertaining and unique music, poetry, and drag performance. Since 2013, Stocks’ drag persona, Doctor Androbox, has shaken the local drag scene in St. John’s and was the second Drag King to win the annual Drag Idol competition, taking home the crown in 2017. Stocks is a strong advocate for inclusion and is a regular contributor to local education and fundraising events. Stocks is set to begin their PhD in Education in September 2018.
