Egon Schiele (1890 – 1918) was an Austrian painter and student of Gustav Klimt’s. Schiele was a major painter of the 20th century.The artist was noted for his many self-portraits and his paintings of female nudes. Schiele was one of the 50 million who died from Spanish Flu in the 1918 pandemic.
