KAI CHENG THOM is a writer, spoken word artist, therapist, and wicked witch. The descendant of Chinese migrant workers on the Canadian Pacific Railway, she is based in Toronto, unceded Indigenous territory. Her writing has been published widely in print and online in Buzzfeed, them, Asian American Literary Review, Everyday Feminism, and others. The winner of the 2017 Dayne Ogilvie Prize for LGBT Writers, Kai Cheng is the author of the novel Fierce Femmes and Notorious Liars, the poetry collection a place called No Homeland, and the children’s book From the Stars in the Sky to the Fish in the Sea.
