Nigel J. Sivel was born in Picton and taught English and Media Literacy at Prince Edward Collegiate Institute from 1971 to 2000. He is a co-founder (with Susan Sivel and Larry Tayler) of the Regent Theatre Foundation and Quinte Summer Music, and a past member of the board for Prince Edward-Hastings Habitat for Humanity.
