Mary Lazier’s family arrived in Prince Edward County in 1791, following the American Revolution. Her early relatives were George I. Lazier and Alcina Hart, founders of Hart-Lazier pottery. Mary has been making pottery since 1972, and has written and illustrated five heritage books.
