Carol Bruneau hails from Halifax. The author of two short story collections and three novels, her first novel, Purple for Sky, won the Dartmouth Book Award for Fiction and the Thomas H. Raddall Atlantic Fiction Award in 2001, while her most recent novel, Glass Voices, was a Globe and Mail Best Book of 2007.
