Alilí is a South American sex worker living in Europe, whose writing and performance work has appeared in Sex Worker’s Opera—a multidisciplinary show created and performed by sex workers and friends, devised from stories sent in by sex workers from eighteen countries across six continents. Alilí’s poem “When I Crossed the Border” is written for three overlapping voices, bringing together various experiences of underground migration.
