Maisyn is a nineteen-year-old Mi’kmaq First Nations woman from the communities of Eskasoni, Nova Scotia and Elsipogtog, New Brunswick. She has a twin, Camryn, who inspires her. She has a big family which has led her to be very family oriented. She enjoys using writing as her way of release, taking all the emotion she feels and channelling it into her writing. She hopes to inspire the youth in her communities by taking these opportunities. She is thankful for the culture that shaped her into who she is.
