Sonnet L Abbé

Sonnet L’Abbé (b. 1973), Ph.D., is the author of A Strange Relief and Killarnoe, and was the 2014 guest editor of the Best Canadian Poetry in English. Her chapbook, Anima Canadensis (Junction Books, 2016) won the 2017 bpNichol Chapbook Award. She has work in Best American Experimental Writing 2016, and in her next collection, Sonnet’s Shakespeare, L’Abbé “writes over” all 154 of Shakespeare’s sonnets. She lives on Vancouver Island and is a professor of Creative Writing and English at Vancouver Island University.
