J.R. McConvey’s stories have been shortlisted for the Journey Prize, the Bristol Short Story Prize, the Matrix Lit Pop Award, and the Thomas Morton Prize. They have also been published in Joyland, EVENT, the Dalhousie Review, and the New Quarterly. McConvey’s poetry has appeared in carte blanche, filling Station, and the Carbon Culture Review, and he reviews books for the Globe and Mail. In 2016 he won the Jack Hodgins Founders’ Award for Fiction from the Malahat Review.
