Cherie Dimaline
Cherie Dimaline is a Canadian Métis writer. Her 2017 young adult novel The Marrow Thieves, which explores the continued colonial exploitation of Indigenous people and the land, won the Governor General's Award for English-language children's literature, the 2017 Kirkus Prize and was a finalist in the CBC's 2018 Canada Reads competition. Her adult novel, Empire of Wild, was published in 2019.
