Ky Pearce(they/them) is a queer poet, activist, and scholar of Mi’kmaw and settler ancestry. They were born on the west coast of Newfoundland in the mid-90s and now live in Katarokwi (Kingston, Ontario), where they are currently working on their PhD in Cultural Studies at Queen’s University. Their primary research interests revolve around queer studies, queer theory, Indigenous literature, 2Spirit critique, queer Indigenous studies, affect theory, and political economy.
