My Visit explores the similarities between the Eeyou and Innu people.

Christine Poker(she/her) is an Innu filmmaker from Natuashish, Labrador. She is also a mother, grandmother, artist, writer, and addictions counsellor. Her greatest love is filmmaking. For the last ten years, she has produced films of Innu legends. The films are made with all-Innu crews directing, filming, and creating sets and costumes. When she finishes writing a script, she takes it to a circle of Elders to provide advice. She makes these films for Innu youth to see and hear the legends and to know that the Innu language is important. The films are a gift to her community, to ensure that the stories that have been passed on from one generation to another for thousands of years are not lost as Elders pass away.
