Autumn Getty (b. 1972) is the trans female author of two books of poetry, Reconciliation (Nighwood Editions, 2003) and Repose (Nightwood Editions, 2008). She has also published two chapbooks, A Gentle Shaking (Junction Books, 2000) and Lyric and Elegy (Biblioasis, 2006). All these works are published under her former name, Adam Getty. She is the recipient of the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award (2004), the Hamilton and Area Arts Council Award for Poetry (2004), and the Hamilton Arts Award for Writing (2012). She has been shortlisted for the Trillium Award for Poetry (2005) and the Premier’s Award for Excellence in the Arts, Emerging Artist (2010). She currently lives in Hamilton, Ontario. She attended the University of Toronto but left without taking a degree.
