Dennis Saddleman
Dennis was born in 1951 in Merritt, BC. He went to Kamloops Residential School for eleven years. He has struggled in life from sexual abuse, drugs, alcohol, hate, and violence. He has been clean and sober for thirty-eight years. He learned how to write—writing has been his passion for many years. His poems have helped him to travel to many places, like Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, and Honolulu where he has been invited to share his poems and stories at universities, colleges, senior and elementary schools. His family and friends call him “Word Warrior.”
